Q: Attendance Marking  / Quick Guide

​

Attendance hours should be entered DAILY Monday – Friday by the Caretaker. Caretakers lose access to the attendance log 48 hours after the close of the previous week and any changes must then be requested through the student’s homeroom teacher.

​

Q:  Certificate of Enrollment for Drivers License/Permits

 

If you need to request a COE to obtain the documentation required by the DDS to get a driver's permit/license.

Q:  Entertainment Work Permits

 

California and New York Entertainment Work Permits can be completed by sending the form to the General Records Manager.

Q:  Georgia Work Permits

 

You will need to access the GA Department of Labor Website for MSK Number.  Portion B needs to be completed by the employer. Forms are then sent to the General Records Manager.

General Academic Student Records 

 

Caretakers requesting academic records can complete the GACA Records Request Form. From there, you will be able to request your student’s unofficial transcript, test scores, attendance, enrollment/withdrawal dates, discipline records (cumulative records) and 504 documents.

504 Plans are managed by the Counseling Department. Contact your school counselor for more information.

Q:  Transcript Requests
GACA High School Official Transcripts

​

We have partnered with Parchment, inc, to make the process of requesting transcripts easy for current High School students and alumni. Go to our GACA Parchment Transcript Request Page to create your account. Once created, an unofficial transcript will be automatically requested for your records. Current students will receive one free transcript. If you need your transcript for college, please request your transcript to go directly to the college or university. You will be able to track the status of your transcript through your Parchment Dashboard.

​​Q: Travel while enrolled at GACA
​​

Per our School Handbook located in the virtual library: Students at GACA are expected to reside in and be working on schoolwork at the primary residence indicated at time of enrollment, with verifiable proof of residency, as required by the GACA enrollment team and the Georgia Department of Education. Any student traveling outside of this location for a period of ten (10) or more school days (not to exceed thirty (30), must have an approved Location Transfer Form on file with the school. This form must be approved a minimum of one (1) week prior to travel. No forms will be approved if travel coincides with mandatory state testing. Failure to adhere to these guidelines will result in withdrawal from Georgia Connections Academy.
